As 2024 comes to an end, I want to reflect on the year. It was a time when I tried many new things—things I never thought I would do. While I didn’t accomplish everything on my wishlist, here’s what I did manage to achieve:
1. You helped more than 20 students with their English.
2. You fed many birds and goats.
3. Most importantly, you achieved your goal of becoming fluent in English—otherwise, you wouldn’t be teaching it now, right?
4. You kept your promise to yourself to write 12 blogs in English, and this very one is proof of that!
5. You read more than five books in English this year. Well done, me!
6. You stayed committed to your decision not to watch any dramas or films this year.
7. At the start of the year, you stood up for yourself, and that was truly amazing.
8. You practiced a lot of meditation and reflection—things you weren’t used to doing before.
Even though you didn’t complete everything on your to-do list, don’t be sad. You still achieved some significant things, and that’s magnificent.
To my future self: if you ever face something that feels difficult, look back at what you managed to accomplish in just one year.
Have a wonderful year ahead in 2025! This year, I’m letting go of to-do lists and wishlists. Instead, I’m going to live by the saying, “We’ll cross
that bridge when we come to it.”
